Hike #50 - Pratt Lake

Important Stats:

Drive: 45 minutes (well more like an hour because I had to stop and get gas and then we got kind of lost)

Water: one bottle, but could have had more.

Would I do it again?: Maybe next summer on an hot day.

Rachel, a great hiking partner, was nice enough to go out in the rain this morning so that I could finish up my goal before the cross country season started. We got a later start than we wanted (due to the gas and wrong turns) but by 11:30 we were on the trail. We had tried this hike earlier in the summer (see hike #2), but the snow was too much and we couldn't complete it. This time we were resolved to finish it. Once again, however the washington trails association website led us astray by saying it was an 8 mile hike. In fact, we went 12 miles! We thought about turning around when the rain hit and we still couldn't see the lake, but we're tough so we continued on and finally reached the end. We managed to snap a couple pictures, even though our fingers were too cold to push buttons. On the plus side, we had a great time talking and completing the goal!

50 hikes: check!!
